Morning All, here are today’s football picks.
- Switzerland/England double – Young Boys overs & Chester BTTS and overs @ 2.87 Coral
- England win Treble – Brighton, Rochdale & Reading @ 3.06 Betfair; This one is a bit of a no brainer, so I expect it to lose. Brighton need to win to strengthen their hold on top spot. If Newcastle fail to get anything at Ipswich then they will more than likely be champions. They host Wigan who are in a fight to avoid relegation but the gulf in class between the two sides should see Brighton get the win. Reading 4th will beat Rotherham (already relegated). Rochdale have an outside chance of making the play-offs so I expect far more commitment from them when they host already relegated Coventry.
- England – Leeds win @ 2.15 BV; Getting to the business end of the championship and Leeds pushing here for promotion via the play offs. A win at home this afternoon will give them some breathing space with 4 games to play. Sheffield Wednesday and Fulham just below them face tricky away fixtures at QPR and Villa respectively. Also the Kiwi Chris Wood up front is the leading League goalscorer. Mathematically Wolves can still be relegated, however it is unlikely. In their last 2 games they lost both, away to Bristol City and at home to Brighton, shipping 5 goals and scoring one. At this price it is hard to look past Leeds here.
- England & Spain – Doncaster & Levante win @ 3.33 BV; Both sides top their leagues and entertain sides at home. Doncaster host Blackpool who themselves are pushing for the play offs but on a bad run at the moment. If Doncaster win today and Plymouth do not get the result against Newport then they will go on to be crowned champions barring a freak run of results in the final 3 games. Levante are 10 points clear in the Segunda and will be in La Liga next season. They have one of the best home records in Europe P16 W14 and I expect that to read P17 W15 after today.
