June 9 – Horses

Morning guys,

Yesterday was a good day for the blog securing our second winner at 12s. The horse loved the step-up in trip and stayed on strongly to hold on for the win. Onto today, and hoping for the run to continue.

The selections:
Running P/L – (+20.93pts)

8:30 Wolverhampton
Sunshineandbubbles 18/1 (365 1/5 for 3 places) 1pt ew

This horse looks well overpriced to me, It has won fresh previously (at Wolverhampton returning from a 154-day break) off today’s mark (53). The horse has also placed over Course and Distance off a mark of 56 and runs off 3lb lower today which also happens to be his last winning mark. The trainer has a decent 12% SR at the course and the jockey has a 19% SR at the course both over the past year. So hoping for a good run here at 18s.

7:15 Chelmsford
Calling the wind 11/1 (365 1/5 for 3 places) ) 0.5pt ew

The horse seemed a tad overpriced at 11s as it is stepping up in distance and coming from an inform yard. He has won his last two starts at Chelmsford and is only 4 years old so there could be much more improvement to come which will be needed to defy a mark of 87. However, I feel the step up in distance should suit along with the fact its back to its favoured course. The trainer has a 20% SR over the last 5 years here and hoping for a decent run at 11s.

Points staked – 3

I have linked the racing post race-card for each horse and it should direct you to the respective race should you click on the horse’s name if you would like to dive deeper into the form.

Good luck as always
