A day of near misses first day here, with having two decent priced horses just missing a place. Onto tomorrow and hoping to be on the right side of things.

This horse’s last run was over 5f at Kempton in a class 5 race and it won a shade cozily. He has gone up the weights for that performance however I expect him to run a strong race tomorrow having been gelded and having got a strong draw from stall 1. A repeat of last times success should be good enough to win this contest and expecting it to lead from the start all the way to the finish.

This horse looks well overpriced to me, it has 3 course wins to its name out of 6 attempts and looks set for another. The horse is currently 3lbs higher than its previous winning mark however it is stepping up in distance which could erk out the improvement needed to defy this mark. Trainer operates at 20% at the course and 18.75% TJ combo over the past year, all pointing towards a strong run at a nice price.
