Evening All
Let’s look at the English Championship and move onto tomorrow. Just the one bet today for the blog that lost with a missed pen and a RC in the first half.
- Goalscorers (If they all start) – Kodjia (Villa), Sharp (Sheff Utd) & Hemed (Brighton) – this is unusual for me as they are all in the away sides. 1 pt total ew FGS Trixie – all 3 have scored in the past week.
- Notts Forest v Brentford – neither side usually keeps a clean sheet and this is a mid/lower table clash. They will both want it, there’s not much between them in the Championship but they will want to ease away from the relegation zone. Forest have scored in 15/17 of the home games and conceded in 14/17. Brentford arrive having scored in 14/18 away games and also conceding in 14/18. So there should be goals in this match up. Forest on a good run at home winning 4 of the last 5, the only niggle being they kept 3 clean sheets in those 5 games. Brentford away have lost 10/18 but they do score goals away and have done in 8/10 last away games. The only teams to shut them out in that time were Leeds and Norwich, both of which are far stronger defensively than Forest. Forest win and BTTS @ 4.33 1 pt
- Blackburn V Cardiff – Blackburn have ground out 1-0 home wins in their past 3 home games, against Wigan, Derby & QPR. Despite that they usually concede at home (13/18). The Bluebirds make the long journey up to Ewood Park and are rejuvenated under Warnock and have scored in 13/18 away. I am tempted by a Cardiff win and btts here but going in a bit deeper Cardiff do not win that much away and the H2H is not supportive, however BTTS and overs has landed in 7/10 of Cardiff’s last away games. I am going to look past Blackburn’s past three home games as over the season they usually concede and Cardiff do have the ability to get at least 1. BTTS and overs @ 2.5 1 pt
- Little stab on this getting late so no write up – Villa win and BTTS @ 10.0 0.5pt
Points Staked 3.5
