Wednesday’s Football Picks
A relatively small fixture list tomorrow, but I have managed to find what I feel is a good bet in the non-league premier tomorrow evening. Metropolitan Police host Leatherhead but don’t let the league table sway you. Even though this is a 7th place vs18th place fixture, Leatherhead have played five games less than Police. If they win those games in hand then they will sit above Police in the table. If, that is, as their away form has been bang average. They have lost 5 out of 8 away games, and average less than a goal scored per game away. Police, on the other hand, have been relatively decent at home. That could be a slight understatement but they have won 8 out of 11 home games this season.
BetVictor have priced them up at 2.3 for the win at the moment, generous. The head to head between these two sides does not have a strong lean toward a home win, therefore I’m going to place a safety net around this one and play it as an Asian handicap of -0.25, or as it reads on 365 Police 0.0, -0.5 at Evens.

The second pick of the day takes us over to Belgium where Antwerp travel to St. Truidense.
This is a 6th vs 5th fixture and St Truid are on a 5 game draw streak. We’re looking at a goal bet in this match. I am expecting it to be more lively in the second half as St Truid have had 10 games at home so far this season and 7 of those have been 0-0 at halftime! There has only been one goal in each of the other three games in the first half.
Antwerp away have also been slow off the mark this season. The half-time scores in their 10 away games have also seen few goals. At the break 3 have been 0-0, 6 have been 1-0, whilst only one away game has seen 2 goals at HT, which was last time out vs lowly Zulte.
The total match goal average each side is 2.3 and 2.7, And 72% of their goals come in the second half. I don’t see any reason why this trend should change, and if it continues then the most goals in the second half is very appealing are 2.1 s.
