Afternoon Guys
Just 2, maybe 3 from me today as per the PS at the bottom. As always good luck if following.
Ireland Premier
Cork are hosting Sligo this evening and have an excellent H2H record against them. They are currently second, 6 points behind the league leaders, Dundalk.
They have played 2 games less though due to European commitments and now that they have been knocked out will definitely be wanting to take the 6 points available to catch Dundalk.
I don’t expect Sligo to offer much in terms of resistance they are already 12 points behind Cork having played 3 games more.
Cork have been in great form at home winning 7 of 8 fixtures and drawing the other one and in those 21 goals have been scored. They have also kept 5 clean sheets in those home matches.
Sligo do have a sneaky away goal in them though which is where I am leaning toward. The are averaging over 1 goal a game away, also they have bagged in this fixture on the last 4 occasions.
In a league not renowned for goals the straight over line is much more attractive @ 2.25 rather than either the Cork win @ 1.55 or BTTS.
Cork v Sligo 19:45
Over 2.5 match goals @ 2.25 2pts
Sweden Allsvenskan
Only 1 league game tonight in the Swedish top tier. Considering Djurgarden’s recent form I almost spat my coffee out when I saw the line offered on IFK Goteborg earlier today.
Goteborg are averaging over 2 goals a game away from home this season and are coming off the back of a great win in the Europa League, coming from behind in the first leg and turning over HJK on their own patch. They must be buzzing.
Add to this Djurgarden’s recent form which is going downhill faster than a bike with no brakes then you just can’t look past backing Goteborg for the win here.
Djurgarden v IFK Goteborg 18:00
IFK Goteborg win @ 2.37 2 Pts
PS If Tobias Hysen starts for Goteborg I will be having a cheeky 0.5 pt on him as first goalscorer e/w currently @ 6.5
