Picks for August 7th

Hi All

Here are today’s with the write ups. For those expecting some on the English games I am leaving those aloner today.

1. Overs Treble; Levanger (Norway), FC Jazz (Finland) & Lucerne (Switzerland) First KO 1245PM!

I like these 3, both the Norway and Finnish leagues are well into their seasons, and the Lucerne game is against Basel who are consistently good for goals and their H2H record supports it. You have to back 10 games for the last time these 2 met and it went unders.

Levanger in Norway div 1 host Frederikstad. This is 3rd against 14th and should be a routine win for the home side. They are averaging over 2 goals a game at home this season and should bag more than that against a side that are fighting the threat of relegation.

Jazz are rooted to the bottom of the table and leak goals for fun, they are hosting GRIFK who are also hardly a defensive masterclass. Neither of these have kept a clean sheet when at home and away respectively all season, so we should see plenty of goals here. Only niggle with this one that the reverse ended 1-1 back in early June.

Back all three games to have over 2.5 match goals @ 4.17 1 point

Singles

2. Finland – HJK v Lahti

HJK have always been strong at home in the league and they are too short for the straight win. Lahti, well to be honest absolute pants away. They have lost 6/9 and concede on average just under 2 goals a game away. Now facing in my opinion the best side in the league who average over 2 goals a game at home and concede very few.

HJK -1 Asian Handicap @ 1.95 1pt

3. Norway – Brann v Dtromgodset

Brann have had a great season in the Eliteserien so far, and they have been fantastic at home. This is a 3rd v 4th match up so should be one of their tougher games. However considering they have won 7/8 at home including 7 clean sheets and Strom have lost 5/8 away, averaging less than a goal a game this is a very good price.

Brann to win @ 2.15 1 pt

4. Norway – Sarpsborg v Valerenga

Sarpsborg (5th) welcome Valerenga (14th) at 5pm today. Valerenga notched a win last time out away against bottom of the table Start, but that is not notable for me. I think the home side will win the game. Granted they do not have the best H2H record against them, but Valerenga have only kept one clean sheet away and lost 6/9 so far.

Sarpsborg win @ 2.1 1 pt
