My Inplay Bets – for old and new followers

Evening All

Every day I get someone tweeting or messaging me asking what my Twitter Inplays mean. “There is no over 2, only 1.5 or 2.5” by way of example. So I thought rather than replying to everyone of them, I would explain in a post.

So, I am slightly different with my approach to Inplays than most on Twitter. All my Inplays are odds against meaning better than 2.0 if you are decimal. My minimum odds that I will post an Inplay on is 3.0, and since tracking them from August this year, we have been in profit.

Every.Single. Month.

I focus on betting late in games when I expect there to be more goals, and for this I use the alternative goal line market on Bet365. I am not plugging them by the way, it’s just what I use. If you can find another book with the same market then by all means use them. The goal line offers a bit of security as if the match ends on the goal line number you have your stake returned.

Minimum risk for maximum returns.

The bets are match goal bets, not team goal bets (unless I tweet team goals) which is rare. So as an example “Voluntari o1 GL” means “Voluntari over 1 match goal line”, in that I am expecting more than 1 goal in the match where Voluntari are currently playing at home. o2 GL more than 2 goals, o3 GL more than 3 goals etc etc.

The prices you will get will vary by the league, the fixture, the time point of the game that you place the bet and the amount staked on goals in that game by the public. Generally the less well known leagues or those renowned for not many goals offer the best prices. This is why I would never rule out a GL bet on a 0-0 in France in the 70th. Generally we are looking at games coming into the last third, so from 60 minutes on.

I’ll often put eyes up on Twitter, if I think there will be goals but the price isn’t where I want it yet or will mention games and teams that I am expecting goals in but there may be very little time left. This allows you guys to get on early if you want. Most of these I am already on personally and a few I am not.

I am not a professional and don’t sit in front of the PC/Tablet/Mobile watching lines all day, so apologies if I do not respond to you immediately, but I do try to respond to all. This is not possible when we land a 6.0 though due to the volume of tweets, It’s just me, with a full time job and a family.

At the end of the day, for me it’s all about fun. I specialize in high odds Inplays on the footy mainly on the European leagues. Could I tip at 1.5, 1.8 1.9 or even 2.0? Yes of course I could, but hell it’s not half as much fun as landing one at 6.0 or 7.2😂 👊🏻

Thanks for reading and hope the above makes sense, waffled on a bit!

Oh, and by the way, due to the nature of the Inplay bets, the odds are always rising, so by the time you read the tweet, find the game and place the bet you will usually be making more money than me!

Stay Lucky Guys!

Mark
