Morning guys,
Disappointing from our sole selection on Monday and had a couple over the week which were non-runners before the post could go live. Onto today, a couple at Doncaster I fancy.
The selections:
August P/L (-3.90pts)
4:00 Doncaster
Fleeting Prince 14/1 (365) 1pt win
I feel this horse could outrun his odds of 14s in a tough race. His last race where he had stepped up to 7f catches the eye where he did not get the cleanest of starts and met with trouble in running until the final furlong where he kept on to finish just 2 lengths behind the winner. That looked a better race than todays and off 1lb lower he seems sure to go close. The trainer and jockey combination is operating at a 42% SR over the past year and offers strong enthusiasm.
5:40 Doncaster
Tombolo 10/1 (365) 1pt win
This horse presents value to me at 10s. He has not disgraced himself in his previous starts giving a good account of himself and should relish the step-up in trip to 1m2f today. He has kept on in both his starts at 8f and looks to be crying out for a step up in trip which he gets here on handicap debut. The trainer has a 16% SR with first-time handicappers giving more confidence.
Points staked – 2
I have linked the racing post race-card for each horse and it should direct you to the respective race should you click on the horse’s name if you would like to dive deeper into the form.
Good luck as always
